Summary

Well, we can't say that this is a bona fide podcast for learning Cantonese. There is only one episode as we write this and it was published in October of 2006.

We hope they continue to make more.

Update on May 20th, 2007: I received word from the podcast producer that more podcasts would be made!

Update on June 12th, 2007: It seems the podcasts started up again and ended around June 3rd, 2007. Currently there are only 7 audio lessons.

There just isn't much out there in the way of podcasts for Cantonese is there. Mandarin has chinesepod among other quality podcasts. I was thinking of trying some with my fiance after we are married next month as something to bond together over and benefit all others wanting to learn Cantonese. For now I am sticking with Pumsleur which is the best audio lesson I've found for Cantonese so far. If there's anything better I would like to know.

polyglot says:

It would be great if you decide to start a new podcast for Cantonese learners. Pimsleur, I agree, is a fabulous way to learn. But the podcasts can offer much more up-to-date info, lingo and cultural information. That is why they are such a strong language-learning tool.

Thanks for the comment.
