The Rob and Bob Show English Lessons Podcast

Bob and Rob Show Podcast

Summary

This podcast is well done and, as you can read above, has some interesting aspects given that the hosts speak British English and North American English. This is great for intermediate to advanced learners of the English language who are interested in getting exposure to both of these English "dialects".

The Bob and Rob Show is a variety show for learning English. It’s aimed at intermediate to advanced learners of English.

Bob and Rob live in Japan, and they both teach English at the same university.

Bob: I’m from the West Coast of the United States. I lived in California until I was six, and then spent the next 16 years living in Oregon and Washington state. I graduated from college in 1992 with a degree in Industrial Technology, and received my masters in TESOL in 1996. I currently live in the Tokyo area with my wife and son. I like to hike, read and fiddle around with computers in my free time.

Rob: Hi, my name’s Rob and I’m from North London. However, although I’m British, I have dual nationality because my parents are Italian. That means I have 2 passports; one British, one Italian. I visited Italy many times while
growing up, but lived most of my life in London except for my 3 years at University in Wales. Shortly after graduating, back in 1992, I came to Japan mainly for 2 reasons. First, I wanted to get more teaching experience. Second, I wanted to do a martial art. I have been here near Tokyo ever since. Catch you later.
