Ciao!

I am learning Farsi from my best friend who moved from Iran 2 years ago. SHe is perfectly fluent in both languages but i really want a dictionary because it would be really handy to just look something up when i feel like it and it would be really handy to look through.

Where can i buy one that translates from english to farsi?

Should i see if my local booshop can order a copy in or do any chain stores such as BIGW or TARGET or KMART have copies?

"Damedgam" or "Damidgam"? Is Farsi a difficult language? every language is difficult to some degree, but would it be torture to learn Farsi? It sounds nice.

what is it actually like to be a foreign service officer doing either the political or public diplomacy tracks? how competitive is the job? what are my chances of getting accepted?
I am planning to double major in Translation in Farsi and Russian (I am already proficient in French and plan to continue my studies) and either international law or communications depending on where I get accepted for university and then doing graduate studies in international relations and diplomacy. I have already begun to learn Farsi and I will be beginning Russian later this year.
Any advice or information would be helpful, I have been to the state department's website but I am looking for even more information,
thank you.
