Summary
A good lecture series that has lots of interesting information for Arabic language learners.
The podcast seems to no longer be released, and the last one was released in April of 2006. That said, the material that is there is worth listening to.

The Arabic Circle is a weekly lecture in Arabic at the University of Chicago's Center for Middle Eastern Studies. This lecture series includes social, cultural and academic discussions about the Arabic speaking world and is led by faculty, students and visiting scholars. Children Classes:
Children classes are full immersion and start on October 2, 2011. Class will take place every Sunday for 4 hours, from 11:00 a.m. till 3:00 p.m. at Cobb Hall, 5811 S. Ellis,University of Chicago.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or higher, preferably in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Teaching, or a related field (with complementary teacher training/experience)
• One year minimum experience teaching
• Must be a native speaker of Arabic and be proficient in modern Standard Arabic (Fusha)
• Teaching experience in an immersion or bilingual setting (or training in foreign language teaching) is preferred but not required.
• Passionate about teaching children
• Ability to remain open to new theories and methods in Arabic language instruction
Adult classes:
Adult classes start on October 2, 2011 at Cobb Hall, 5811 S. Ellis, University of Chicago. Class will take place every Sunday for 2 hours. Instructors will be responsible for the development and implementation of the curriculum in Arabic, as well as for the teaching, supervision and assessment of the students. Emphasis is on speaking, reading, and writing.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree from an accredited university. Master's degree, PhD candidacy or PhD in Arabic preferred.
• Must be a native speaker of Arabic and be proficient in modern Standard Arabic (Fusha)
• One year minimum experience teaching at the post-secondary level.
• Able to create a classroom environment conducive to learning by employing a variety of appropriate teaching strategies.
• Awareness of current trends in education
